November 5th and Angel & Jeff tie the knot in a romantic ceremony on the Coconut Groove at Amankila. The ceremony took place in the beautiful sea side town of Manggis Village, a few hours drive from Kuta or Uluwatu area. The suburb area was abuzz with people taking advantage of the diving and escape.
Mount Agung provides a dramatic backdrop for Amankila (peaceful hill), a secluded seaside resort overlooking the Lombok Strait. Spacious stilted villas offer exceptional views from their hillside locations amongst frangipani and bougainvillea. Situated in Karangasem, one of Bali’s most traditional regencies, with easy access to untouched rural countryside and the region’s royal past.
The welcome BBQ dinner one day prior the wedding event was 15 minutes up the road at the beautiful resort of Alila Manggis.
Angel & Jeff, chose the location for their wedding for the exquisite beauty of the area and also for the rugged Bali’s landscape. One of the most important aspects in planning their wedding was the photography. They wanted to not only have the emotion of the day captured but equally important was capturing the locations. For me it was a dream job as everyone knows I love shooting landscapes and I love shooting weddings, so I got to photograph my two favourite things! I really do have a wonderful job.
Thank you Angel & Jeff for letting me be a special part of your day, and for giving me the opportunity to capture the beauty of your wedding in this stunning location. Hope you like your “weddingscapes”.
After visiting nearly every stunning wedding venue and territory in Bali, this perfect wedding wrapped up the wonderful and amazing year that was 2011.
